Interventional Cardiologist at KIMS Hospitals, Secunderabad, Hyderabad, India
Previously at Yashoda Hospitals (Hi-Tech City) & Kamineni Hospitals (L. B. Nagar)
As an interventional cardiologist, I use advanced, minimally invasive techniques to treat heart conditions safely and effectively — avoiding surgery to ensure faster recovery and better outcomes. Some of the key procedures I perform include:
Every heart is different—and so is every treatment. My focus is always on doing what’s safest, most effective, and best suited for the patient.
My path to cardiology began at Kamineni Institute of Medical Sciences, where I earned my MBBS and MD. I pursued a cardiology fellowship at Amrita Hospital, Kochi, guided by mentors like Dr. Natarajan and Dr. Rajiv C.
The turning point came at Kamineni Hospitals, where I trained under my father, Dr. M R M Babu, a renowned cardiologist and professor. His passion for giving patients hope shaped my own approach to care. It’s a rare privilege to learn directly from someone with such a legacy, and it’s one I carry forward with pride.
I went on to practice at KIMS, guided by Dr. R K Jain and Dr. Ajay Swamy. I later worked at Yashoda Hospitals (Hi-Tech City) with Dr. Rajashekar. I am now back at KIMS Hospitals, Secunderabad, continuing my work in interventional cardiology.
I live in Hyderabad, India, surrounded by my inspiring family—my father, Dr. M R M Babu, a renowned cardiologist, my mother, Vijayalakshmi M, a nutrition expert, and my brother, Karthik M, an engineer. Their support and my father's passion for saving hearts sparked my own.
Yes, expertise matters. But so does how it’s shared—clearly, calmly, and with care. I take the time to listen, understand your concerns, and explain your diagnosis and treatment options in simple, straightforward language. Whether it’s medication or a procedure, I want you to understand the why behind every step—so you feel informed, in control, and confident in your care.
The chance to train under some of the most respected cardiologists in the field—mentors with over a century of combined experience.
Thanks to them, I was immersed early on in a high volume of real-world, high-stakes cases. That kind of exposure builds clarity, judgement, and calm - especially when complications arise.
My focus is on non-surgical approaches whenever possible—they often lead to faster recovery, fewer risks, and less physical and emotional strain, especially for patients with prior surgeries, diabetes, or chronic conditions.
At the end of the day, my goal isn’t just to treat your heart — it’s to help you live fully with it.
Outside the hospital, I cherish family time. Every evening, my dad and I discuss interesting cases over coffee—a special moment where we share our passion for medicine. My nephew and niece keep me young with their LEGO creations, robotics, curious chats about the human body, and hilarious “monkey business” stories that always bring a smile.
A healthy heart means being there for life’s big moments—your child’s graduation, their wedding, or meeting your grandchildren. I’m here to make that possible with the best training and a caring touch. Let’s make your journey to a stronger heart - simple, hopeful, and all about you. Ready to start? I’m just a visit or call away.
